The dead and the gone is a novel by Susan Beth Pfeffer, with the theme of young adult science fiction. This story so far talks about a seventeen year old brother named Alex trying to protect his sisters, Briana and Julie without their parents after the world changed into a catastrophic mess ever since after the moon gets closer to the earth. This story was written in a third person point of view, this is great because it gives the reader a different point of view, rather than just getting the first person’s point of view. As a result of the moon getting closer to the earth, their entire city gets blacked out for a few weeks.
