The book “Dateline Troy” by Paul Fleischman turns the Trojan War into an occasion for social studies, with the result that his audience may have to sacrifice some of the pleasures of reading in exchange for a fresh approach to history or current events. In Greek mythology, Helen of Troy also known as Helen of Sparta, or simply Helen, was said to have been the most beautiful woman in the world, she was also married to King Menelaus of Sparta. On the tenth day when the Troy visited Sparta to make peace, Helen runs away secretly with Prince Paris of Troy, resulting in the Trojan War. Legend has is that Helen was under Aphrodite spell to fall in love with Prince Paris of Troy which resulted in having the Trojan War.
The Great Compromise represented the interest of those who wanted a strong national government and those who wanted states to have a strong voice by establishing a two-house Congress. History Alive, pg. 152 states, “The second house, the Senate, would represent the states. Each state would have two senators, to be elected by their state legislatures.” The Senate represented those who wanted a strong national government-the smaller states- because since their population was tiny compared to the massive population of the larger states, the Senate will make sure that all the states have an equal say in Congress.

The Trojan War also originated because of the economic rivalry, between the Mycenaeans and Troy, over the control of Dardanelles. Both of these factors help the economy during this time flourish. At this time, city-states are growing and there was always a warrior king who ruled many of these villages. This was a new way of ruling for Greece, making this a big political factor in the development of Greece.
Epic Hero An Epic Hero is a person who that has superhuman strength, courage and is intelligent. At times their life even ends tragically. In the story “The Trojan War” by Edith Hamilton there is two men who are made out to be epic heroes Hector and Achilles, but only one of them can be the real epic hero. They were both courages and brave, but Achilles was the Epic Hero.
Troy is precise in its portrayal of the setting and the intensity of the Trojan war. Nevertheless, the reason to why the war occurred has many believable theories. The story was written by a very famous Greek writer and poet, Homer, the author of the well-known Iliad and Odyssey. The source of the Movie Troy came from the Iliad, an epic poem written by Homer around 800 B.C., despite that the actual war occurred 400 years before.
There he disguised again as a Undefeatable warrior. He took over 23 towns in Trojan territory including very important towns. In one town he took a woman as a prize. A woman named Briseis that he loved. Agamemnon, the leader of the Greeks, was forced by Achilles oracle's to take her away.
For the first 9 years of war, Achilles decimated the land around Troy at captured 12 of its cities. The 10th year of the war caused Achilles to lose many troops because Chryseis, a prize of the war, had her father who was priest of Apollo pray and cause the war party to have a pestilence within their camps. Achilles quickly asked the Agamemnon Army to return Chryseis to stop the pestilence. In return the Agamemnon took Achilles favorite slave Briseis. With that, Achilles refused to help.

Goddesses like Athena were out for revenge in the Iliad because Paris did not see her fit for the golden apple that was to be given to the fairest Goddess, in the Judgement of Paris. So Athena and Hera, who mainly used her marriage to Zeus to do her dirty work, plotted against the Trojans.
