This ad effectively uses appeal to emotion by making the audience feel guilty and somewhat ethically responsible for this situation. It has the effect to pull at the readers’ heartstrings as they may feel as if they have directly contributed to the death of the Albatross or any other innocent marine organisms by dropping litter. After seeing the harsh reality of where the plastic and metal materials can end up, this will make people think twice before doing so.
