When Abigail and some of her young female friends decided to go out into the woods with Tituba, the trouble had begun. Because witchcraft was such a sensitive subject in the little village of Salem, the girls knew that they needed to keep their little pow-wow a secret. Until, unfortunately, young Betty’s father, Mr. Parris, came to find them in the woods. From then on, it was all about the girls being sick, dead but at the same time alive, and there were a lot of questions asked. Of course, the girls didn’t want to get into any trouble, especially not Abigail.
In the book Witches! The Absolutely True Tale of Disaster in Salem, Rosalyn Schanzer discusses an outbreak of witch accusations in the little town of Salem, Massachusetts in late 1692. People were accusing friends, enemies, and even family members of being witches and plotting evil schemes with the devil. No one was safe anymore. If a person were to be accused, they were stuck in a stinky, grubby jail where they were pelted with never-ending questions.

Beware of the Dog is written by Roald Dahl. At first we are introduced to a british pilot, that has lost a leg, and is about to slip into an unconscious state. He realizes that he must eject himself from the plane. He later wakes up from ejecting from the plane in a hospital. Later in the day he hears a mysterious noise.
The tale of “Beware of the dog”, which was created by Roald Dahl, is a story based off of the realistic event that occurred in World War II. The story describes a British pilot, named Peter Williamson, who during his duties in air was shot down, losing his leg. During the event of being shot down he loses consciousness and is no longer to recall what is happening. When he gains consciousness he finds himself in a hospital. While in the hospital he begins to believe that he is in France, which would mean that since he is a British pilot, he has earned the title of a war prisoner.

It is about a wife (Mary Maloney) murdering her drunk husband (Patrick Maloney) after he gives her short answers when she asks him questions. She hits him over the head with a leg of lamb to kill him. A theme I see is change and when something bad happens. You can drastically change in life.
