Inherit the Wind: Granting the Right to be Wrong While the practice of limiting a man’s ideas may now be seen as archaic, Inherit the Wind brings to light this very injustice, prevalent in an era not yet shrouded by time. In this final scene of the play, Drummond poignantly summarizes the beauty of free thought. The following passage highlights the central theme of Inherit the Wind: theological and scientific beliefs can co-exist, on the condition that an individual has the right to believe whatever he or she deems fit: DRUMMOND. Say - you forgot - (But Rachel and Cates are out of earshot.
Freak the Mighty “Your genetics load the gun. Your lifestyle pulls the trigger”, said by George A. Bray. This quote describes the situation of the main character Maxwell Kane; In Rodman Philbrick’s novel, Freak the Mighty, Maxwell’s story has an important message: the future one beholds is not necessarily determined by their genetics. The only thing that determines one's future is one’s self.
16. The thesis of the novel Into the Wild is Chris cutting off his ties to his ‘world’ as he had become disappointed with his place in society. This connects to the book Paper Towns, just like Chris, the main character Margo Spiegelman ran off into her own world, “she loved mysteries so much that she became one.” (Green, prologue 35) This quote relates to Chris McCandless and his own mysterious mind that no one will quite ever understand except himself.
Many people believe that family should stick together but In the novel Two Wolves, Ben’s father, Ray is a horrible person and Ben should not stay loyal to him. Throughout the text, we see how bad of a father Ray is, and Ben wonders if he should stay loyal to him but clearly, he should not because Ray is not only abusive and controlling but Ben’s father is also a criminal, has a bad relationship with his son and he isn’t loyal to his son either. So why should Ben stay loyal to him? Ben shouldn’t stay loyal to his father because his father is very controlling and abusive towards his family members. In Two Wolves Ray is constantly rude to Ben and fights him.
When reading the book “Neverwas”, I really liked the book. Sarah is my favorite character throughout the book because she is trying to solve the mystery; she is figuring out what the messages from her realistically vivid dreams mean. Throughout “Neverwas”, her thoughts of her parents changed. At first she thought of them as “incredibly irresponsible”; however, as the story progresses Sarah’s thoughts about them changed to “really impressive” (Moore). Also, she is experiencing senses of deja vu because a mysterious girl comes to her dreams and tells her about mysterious phrases that she can’t fully comprehend.
1. “He doesn’t condone that kind of violence. But he doesn’t condone that...lifestyle” (37). This quote referenced the minister’s wife who was speaking about her husband’s views.

He is also one of the most influential members of the gang. Father Flynn is also innocent because of Sister Aloysius’s different personality combined with the fact that she does not contain enough evidence to properly convict him. She exemplifies this role because she is a nun, and nuns are traditionally strict in the Christian Church. Sister Aloysius is also a principal for the school, which further implements her position as a strict nun. It is obvious that she uses her power to punish the students in the school: “Sister Aloysius: When William London gets a nosebleed, be skeptical. Do not let a little blood fuddle your judgment” (Shanley 12).

Shame is defined as a painful feeling that arises from the consciousness of any sinful action. It is known as the most painful feeling there is, given that it is registered within the brain as if it were a strong physical pain. As demonstrated within the book, The Shack, the main character, Mack seems to experience this emotion more than once in his life. Thus, referring back to the foreword, the storyteller, Willie, explains Mack’s grief over his conviction of the period at which Mack confessed that he hadn’t done anything to help his mother when his drunken father had beaten her till unconscious. Mack ran towards religion when he made that confession to a church leader after reluctantly baring his soul at a youth revival.
Into the Wild Essay Into The Wild portrays multiple messages as someone reads along, and one of them is someone showing people how much they mean to that person. Chris thought that it was important to let others know they meant a lot to him, so he definitely made sure that they knew! Chris did this by sending them letters, postcards, and visiting them (they loved his company). Once, Chris even surprised Jan Burres and her boyfriend by swinging by their place before they could travel to Bullhead to see him (Chapter 5, page 44).
Key Quotations One of the most memorable quotations in "War of the Worlds" comes early in the novel, when the narrator first catches sight of the Martian cylinders descending from the sky: "It was as if some invisible jet impinged upon them and flashed into white flame. It was as if each man were suddenly and momentarily turned to fire." This passage portrays the initial horror of the invasion, as the Martians' advanced technology absolutely obliterates the humans. The image of men being turned to fire emphasizes the suddenness and violence of the attack, and sets the tone for the rest of the novel.
In Wuthering Heights, we clearly see that dog mainly regresses back into wolf as Wolves are not only ferocious creatures, but they are more violent and dangerous than dogs. While they are the same genus as dogs (canis) they are a different species: the wolf is canis lupus, the dog is canis familiaris. With the progression of novel, a violent and partially tamed dog is regressing into wolf as both dog and wolf are spoken as closely interlinked, when Joseph remarks ‘Hey, Gnasher! Hey, dog! Hey Wolf, holld him, holld him!’
