In doing some research, I touched on some key words in describing how one looks at the philosophy of diversity, but Cornell Thomas and John Butler couldn’t have said it any better. Here are four main things that describes diversity. Tolerance is acceptance and open-mindedness of different practices, attitudes, and cultures; does not necessarily mean agreement with the differences. Implies an acknowledgement, or an acceptance or respect.

Michaels has expressed his knowledge and beliefs that there is a great deal of diversity among human beings. In the article, “The Trouble with Diversity: How We Learned to Love Identity and Ignore Inequality,” Walter Benn Michaels’ skillful presentation of his logos overshadows his less successful portrayal of pathos and ethos concerning the idea of love for identity. However, Michaels has impeccable logos in the article with his references on the idea of love for identity, but does not express his ethos and pathos as fluent.
In a terrifying dystopia, “People will come to love their oppression, to adore the technologies that undo their capacities to think” (Huxley 1). Brave New World, written by Aldous Huxley, shows the starkness of a world where uniformity is paramount and diversity is despised as the root of instability. No one thinks for themselves, but instead they simple echo what they have been programmed to say. Every person is bred to act and think the same as others in their social class. Diversity is shunned along with old world beliefs and conservative morals.
Diversity is showing variety, or being different. It is clear that this could easily lead to the downfall of the United States we know today. When two people have a disagreement, in a way, it’s diversity. But if there is too much diversity, people could develop completely different ideas, which could lead to arguments, and then to separations.

It as if certain groups of people with similar attributes have one piece of the puzzle and by diversity you can accumulate different pieces to see the whole picture. For example, if a group was developing a shampoo conditioner for women of color and only had white men in their team. Will they be able to truly understand or see what these women would want? Now a days the human specie is getting more, and more diverse. As traveling is affordable to every one and moving to different continent is easier, its easy to see many races situated in one place. Diversity is an intricate device which we weave into our society. If you are not diverse than in our society you are left behind to the more open minded. Diversity has almost become a staple in our society and it shaping the new generation as a whole. Diversity in a sense could be summed up as one of the most important building blocks in our society and personally to me could be considered almost core to my being.

It is believed that International trade and urbanization undermine the power of a rural aristocracy which leads various social movements like the Protestants reformation, which demands individual’s freedom and their own lives and free thoughts.
