Political The United States of America is a democratic society that’s government is built on a constitution signed in 1787. The government is made up of three branches: Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. The legislative branch contains Congress, which is made up of The House of Representatives and The Senate. It is responsible with creating the laws that govern the 50 states. Congress itself is split into two parties; Democratic and Republican. Members of these parties are members of the house of representatives or they are senators. The House of Representatives consists of 435 elected representatives allocated to states depending on population proportion.
