“If you want to become a great leader, you need to prepare yourself to become a great leader, and the best way to do that is to study great leaders.” (Schembechler 7). Being a leader means defining and exhibiting moral and ethical courage and setting an example for everyone within any given group. Being a leader helps you teach leadership skills to your family, friends, and employees who will then help do the "heavy lifting" of moving the masses from where it is today to where it needs to be in the future. In today's day in age, people will believe that great leaders are born to lead.
I have developed leadership qualities when my Tae Kwon Do coach trusted me to lead our team during national championships. This has led me to then hold various leadership positions in undergraduate and dental school clubs. Moreover, my critical thinking abilities have excelled from being a mathematics and physics tutor. Tutoring has always challenged me to think outside the box in complicated problems, and this would allow me to use my creative skills when facing complex cases in my field. Persistence is another key element that is crucial in success.
Leadership is an important quality to have because an individual should be able to take action and lead a group
Leadership is exemplified at school when you influence your friends, classmates, and other peers to do
Wallace, I have added some new aspects to my list of outstanding leadership skills. This includes being punctual, firm yet fair, and using easy to understand language. Leaders for a highschool activity should always be on time. If your leader is always late, that takes away from useable rehersal time, but if they show up when they are supposed to, you will be able to get done what needs to be done to make the program the best it can be. Also, future leaders really need to learn the concept of firm yet fair.
This includes many things such as volunteering for the community, and donating various items for numerous causes. According to a survey I conducted, most people answered that leadership was one of the most important traits of a successful person. Leadership means to not always follow the expectations set by
Along with helping others, I also believe that obtaining leadership qualities will help us now and in the future. Some important leadership qualities
I’ve learned and gained leadership skills by joining clubs and sports activities such as; ASB (Associated Student Body) and soccer. In ASB I’ve organized dance events and school activities. This experience has given me the knowledge, patience, dedication, commitment, and foremost values. In soccer it was also required me to work hard and become a team
My grades are good, I always try my best in class. Usually when I don’t understand I try to get as much help so I don’t fail the class. And if I know I am going to be missing class I go talk to my teachers beforehand so I can complete everything in time. Leadership is being a good problem solver, being involved in school activities, working well with people and being organized. In any activity that I am involved in I try to step up and take the lead.
Over the years I have learned how to communicate with people and effectively get a point across in a constructive manner. I believe this is a major contributing factor to the current leadership positions I am in. These leadership positions allow me to help the afterschool activities I am in. For example, in FBLA I am a reporter and am a sort of lieson for the media department and can quickly get messages out to the student body. I have been active in school since 5th grade where I was a safety officer and in 8th grade being apart of our student council.
I have shown leadership by being a Sunday School assistant at Reading United Methodist Church. I worked with the younger kids and taught them various life lessons. I also practiced my leadership by being an assistant for the kindergarteners during the K-Ball program. I taught them the basics of basketball and other lessons they will be able to apply in their futures. I am hoping to further develop my leadership skills during the next two years of high school, which will help me lead others more successfully.
I was taught to work hard and never give up. Leadership is also a very important pillar in the National Honor Society. A leader is a person who guides others with their actions or words and influences others in a positive way. I feel that I am a leader in many ways. I participate in many different
Acquiring leadership skills along with a strong character and the sense to serve others is vital. A leader should be resourceful, dependable, selfless, and a good problem solver. I have led in many ways- inside and outside of school. Last year as a tenth grader, I was class secretary for Class Council.
“Mom?” I called out as soon as I woke up, sitting up. 1 “I'm right here. What do you need Mandy?” She replied peering over at me from the top of her magazine.
True leadership requires one to be able to understand, inspire, motivate, and communicate with others. Good
