First and foremost, I would like to thank the opportunity to participate and possibly be initiated into The National Honors society. It is not only a marker for my current success academically, but a medium through which I can further that success. From what I’ve been told by my peers, family, and teachers is that National Honors Society is about giving back to the community and would like a person of a certain character. They must show Integrity, humbleness, generosity; but most of all leadership, service, character, and scholarship. I have the confidence in myself to trust I have those qualities and can utilize them as a member of The National Honors Society. Over the years I have learned how to communicate with people and effectively get a point across in a constructive manner. I believe this is a major contributing factor to the current leadership positions I am in. These leadership positions allow me to help the afterschool activities I am in. For example, in FBLA I am a reporter and am a sort of lieson for the media department and can quickly get messages out to the student body. I have been active in school since 5th grade where I was a safety officer and in 8th grade being apart of our student council. I also believe that if you don’t have fun while learning that you will never love it, this is why as copresident/ 1 of 2 head council members for science club we design fun activities that spreads the love of science. I also tutor my friends on the weekends over skype for AP physics, honors chemistry, AP biology and other classes I’ve taken before.
