I think I would benefit the National Junior Honors Society because of my outgoing nature and desire to make a difference. I have done countless things to help our community whether it be organizing a food drive for pets in need, keeping the beaches clean, or feeding those in poverty. I hope the NJHS will help me be the one person that starts to put the starfish back into the ocean and many people follow.

All people have a different understanding of words like Leadership, Scholarship, Service, Citizenship, and Character. But here are mine. My personal definition of Leadership is to listen to others, take action, be fair, do the right/best thing, and always be a good role model. Also I believe that showing scholarship is to set high academic standards, always try, persevere, and put forth your best effort. I consider giving back, helping others, and not being selfish a form of service to the community. Furthermore a lot of people think citizenship is just being a good citizen but there is more. classes since first grade, and I am now in gifted classes. I have been on high honor roll all 3 trimesters, and maintained a GPA above 3.5 while participating in many extracurricular activities like yearbook club, band, art club, drama club, the play, chorus, cross country and gingerbread club throughout the school year. This is in addition to my ice skating. This shows I can be very involved and still succeed in my classes. That is because I am very good at managing my time, something that might benefit the NJHS.
