The following is three of the perspectives in psychology which I will discuss regarding how we understand the human and animal behavior. Each perspective has their own explanations. While some are widely accepts other are not and have become the basis for scientific debate. The three-main theory I will be discussing are from Darwin, Freud, and Piaget. These three theories include the theory of evolution, normative approach, and mental testing movement. All three have changed science throughout history. The first theory which I will review is Darwin’s theory. The theory of evolution. Better known or heard as the natural selection or survival of the fittest. The theory is known for two main parts including “all life on earth is connected and related to each other and “ modifications of population by natural selection, where some traits were favored in and environment over others.” (Brian Richmond, curator of human origins at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City) At times the survival of the fittest can be misleading, due to the fact that it is not about the strength or ability a organism has but more the ability to survive and reproduce.
