With a couple thousand people living near this power plant, it was common for people living nearby to work here. During the 1970s, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission started making changes as a result of some accidents that were occurring recently. On August 3, 1978, D. F. Hallman, who was working for Nuclear Services, wrote a memo to B. A. Karrasch, a manager at TMI, explaining important changes that needed to be done to the reactors so another accident wouldn’t happen again like in Toledo. Through unprofessional and improper communication, the memo failed its purpose and a nuclear meltdown happened on March 28, 1979, seven months after the memo was sent.

These raw energy forms are particularly coal, natural gas and petroleum (fossil fuels), nuclear, hydro, and others (e.g., wood, waste, geothermal, wind, and solar). A figure on recent net electricity generation in Australia shows that the major source of Australia's electricity generation is coal (See Appendix, Figure 2). Coal is transported by trains along most of the major nation's railroads directly from the mines to the station, over the inland waterway system by barge and towboat, along the coasts and over the Great Barrier Reef by the collier (Coal ships), and overland by truck, coal slurry pipeline, and conveyer; gas is moved by pipelines; and electricity is transported by transmission
In the 1960s, oil overtook coal as the leading source of principal energy, attributed to the large growth and development of the transportation sector. Notwithstanding that fact coal present plays a vital role in the International arena’s energy production. Coal use soared during the Industrial Revolution and its consumption globally never decreased into the present . The era of industrial revolution, spanning from 1800s to 1900s; were beneficial socioeconomically and culturally for the United State of America (US) in North America as the major emitter of carbon dioxide (CO2) and greenhouse gases followed by European allies, such as Germany, France, Italy and United Kingdom and accompanied by India and China following its 1978’ policy reform
Have you ever seen something so majestic and awe inspiring that it simply overwhelms all thought, such instances in life are rare however when you witness one they become one of the true moments of wonder in life. It is truly a place that will make you reassess your entire place on this world, the pure

“Nuclear power will help provide the electricity that our growing economy needs without increasing emissions. This is truly an environmentally responsible source of energy.” Michael Burgess Prior to the introduction of nuclear energy, fossil fuel was thought to be the only available source in producing energy. Although fossil fuel, such as coal, petroleum, and natural gas, contains high energy value, it produces too many harmful byproducts that ultimately pollute our environment. With the rising concerns over global warming as more and more greenhouse gases accumulate in our Earth’s atmosphere, many voice such opinions that new alternative, yet sustainable method must be adopted to produce energy.
