Many believe that Tiger Woods is the greatest golf player of all time. His incredible golf career is legendary to all of golf and even the entire realm of sports. Eldrick “Tiger” Woods was born on December 30, 1975 in Long Beach, California (rolemodel.net). Tiger’s parents are Earl Woods and Kultida Punsawad. They were married in Bangkok, Thailand, in 1969, (rolemodel.net). Wood’s real name is Eldrick, not Tiger. “Even though Earl reluctantly acquiesced to the name, he still intended to deliver his vow to honor Nguyen Phong, his Vietnamese friend. They have been able to help over 130,000 children with their education, (tigerwoodsfoundation.org). Tiger has also started TGR design, a company dedicated to the creation and restoration of golf courses. So far, TGR design has plans for 7 courses, (tigerwoods.com/design/courses). Tiger Woods started the World Challenge tournament to bring funds and awareness to his charity.
