NIC NEVER SANK2AbstractOne of the most famous ships of all time, the Titanic, never sank. Instead, the Titanic’s sister ship, the Olympic, is the one sitting at the bottom of the Atlantic in its place. The White Star Line, the company that owned the two ships, owed a hefty amount of insurance money due to the Olympic crashing into the HMS Hawke. The company did not want to pay the claim and they needed to find the money to repair the Olympic. Instead of repairing the ship, the White Star Line decided to switch the Olympic and Titanic, sink the already damaged ship, and collect the insurance money. There is proof of this switch found in pictures of the day the ship set sail. The pictures of the ship that left the port show physical characteristics of the Olympic, not the Titanic.
