Many people believe that Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback to ever play in the National Football League but a man who deflates footballs in order to win a game cannot be thought of as the best. Tom Brady is an amazing quarterback who is still currently playing in the NFL at the age of 40. But Tom Brady used deflated footballs in the AFC Championship game against the Colts because his need to be the champion got in the way of fair play. Tom Brady is a very talented player who made a mistake in his career that put a dent on his reputation. Although Tom Brady is a five time Super Bowl champion, the greed of fame caused him to cheat his way to a championship victory, damaging his reputation as the greatest player of all time.

The public responded in a positive way because they knew that Tom Brady had basically stolen a championship victory. The public was also a little upset because it took a whole year for everything to be sorted out. Brady ended up learning that cheating was not the answer. In the Super Bowl two years after the incident, the Patriots found themselves down “28-3 in the third quarter” to the Falcons but came back and won “34-28 in overtime” (Maske).
