When typing ‘Men’s clothes’ into google, Topman appeared on the first search page but further down the page as the 14th link down. Saying that, Topman appeared on Google’s closest store locator, which appears further up on the search page. The other brands that were placed higher on the page were other retail brands; none that were Topman’s competitors. When clicking on the link; it took me to the clothing category on their website; with all the options of what they have on the left.

Topman was found on page 2 of Google search 1st on the page. When using the link it took me onto Topman’s men’s jewellery page. With this, there was a refine feature on the left to cut down the items that the consumer may not be looking for. This will help the customer to look and purchase quickly.

This pricing strategy can be a risk; if it was known by Topman’s target market, they may decide to switch brands due to saving a little but gaining similar purchases with Topman’s competitors.
It may benefit the brand if they have more promotional offers; stating to their market, even though their prices are a little more, the promotions even out the pricing of their products. Again their competitor Burton has a sales event; which will entice all Topman’s customers to go and purchase items. This will mean that they wouldn’t need to visit Topman as they have purchased everything that they need.
