Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) has influenced me in many ways. First, it was the school's amazing nursing program. The school of nursing was established in 1953 and it awards undergraduates the bachelor of science degree. WSSU’s nursing program was ranked number 3 in the nation, and is continuing to grow and enhance the program. I have been given the chance to get into the nursing program, with the help from the Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP).
Imagine red glowing eyes, looking at you from the dark. The creature is roughly 4 feet tall, with a row of spines starting at its neck and ending at the base of its tail with fearsome fangs. It is reptilian-like with leathery greenish-gray skin, a large oval head, and bipedal -- standing and hopping like a kangaroo. You’ve heard its name before: el chupacabra. Translated literally from Spanish as “goat-sucker,” el chupacabra is famous for killing livestock and, leaving behind one to three puncture wounds in the animal’s neck, draining them of their blood.
I am most attracted to Loma Linda University’s mission to make man whole and continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ and its commitment to faith and science. As a Seventh-day Adventist christian, the motto to make man whole has never been more personal than it is now. As I grow in my experience as a christian, to further the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus continues to take center stage. This mission and an understanding of the need for whole person care is something I seek to demonstrate and encourage through my profession as a nurse and involvement in my community.
Similar to other immigrants my family history is somewhat compelling. Starting with my grandfather who was exiled out of Egypt in 1959 primarily as a result of the "decolonization process and the rise of Egyptian nationalism”, my immediate family and I also left France in 2004 as a result of rising tension against Jews. The migration of my grandparents and parents, from a young age, cultivated a sense of determination in me to overcome obstacles. Arriving in Miami at age 5, I had to learned my third language, English, in order to attend school. I was determined to and successfully lost my accent and got tested into the gifted program after a year of school.
As a prospective member of the Masters of Arts in History program at Liberty University I hope to accomplish several things. I am currently serving as a high school history teacher and this program will benefit both my students and myself alike in the foreseeable future. This includes reaching the goals of earning my master’s degree which will result in a higher level of professional knowledge in my content area, while increasing my income simultaneously. This is not the only positive factor, Liberty’s program will also contribute directly to growth in regards to my relationship with Jesus Christ.
I see myself being an engaged member of the WCU and Brinson Honors College community by being involved in community service opportunities, becoming a member of leadership organizations, and taking advantage of opportunities to study and serve in a different country or to participate in undergraduate studies. I plan to be engaged in the WCU community by being involved in all that I can be involved in. Specifically, I hope to become involved in at least one of the faith-based groups on campus, such as the Baptist Student Fellowship at WCU or the Campus Crusade for Christ. Becoming involved in faith-based organizations is important to me and will allow me to love God and love people better by learning more about God and participating in service projects that will share his love and truth. Additionally, I want to join a local Church family, where I hope to serve in various aspects of the Church, especially those that involve children, something that I am passionate about.
My job as a patient care technician allowed me to care for numerous individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Through this experience, I came to the realization that I loved people. I loved hearing their stories and the secret hopes and fears they would share with me in the dead of the night. I realized that I wanted to have a career where I could not only help people, but learn from them as well. I believe a career in the healthcare field would allow me to do this.
I want to embrace the challenge of USC. As a Film and Television Production major, I know that I can expect a fast-paced, hands-on learning environment. Will it be demanding? Of course. Will I occasionally feel overwhelmed?
I have worked so hard in school waiting for a moment like this. UNCW would be a great challenge for me, but it would also help me out immensely. UNCW has a excellent education program and that is exactly the field of study I aim to go into. I spent approximately half of my sophomore year at the early college tutoring at Dobson Elementary. I cherished every second helping my fifth grade class.

When I graduate, I hope to use my major in computer science to get a job at a technology firm to get gain a better understanding of the technology industry. After learning more about the technology industry for a few years, I hope to establish an organization using the entrepreneurial and leadership skills that I acquire from USC. The purpose of this organization would be to benefit the lives of everyday people through technology. The power of technology is immense and, if used correctly, can make everyone’s life better.
Ever since I was young, I have always enjoyed listening to other people, helping them sort out problems and give advices has been my own personal satisfaction. That was the beginning of my interest in the field of Psychology. My curiosity grew more and I began to wonder how the brain works, how do certain people have certain behaviors, and how can others have the completely opposite attitude. It has become one of my passions and attention. I began searching schools and reaching out to people who knew more about this interest of mine, until I found USC.
Next fall I will be fresh out of high school and I hope to study at Indiana University, because IU has an excellent medical science program. This is why IU’s medical program is the best choice for my academic and career plans for the future. I am happy that I chose Colorado State University for apply. I came to CSU campus for first time with my wife for tour with the group and student mentor in June. I really liked their the open campus that have environment friendly and more trees to feel spiritual. I have been asking around about pros and cons for this campus before I come to visit, but for me, I got lots of good comments about CSU and suggests me to go there to check out. CSU amazed me because I really liked what they have on campus and it made me to feel more welcome.
My figure skating coach used to tell me that he knew every time I was thinking hard about a problem on a skating technique because I would furrow my eyebrows, purse my already non-existent lips together, and stick my tongue out of the corner of my mouth, making a funny face that I was unaware of. Nowadays, the only thing that has changed is the complexity of the problems. The process of thinking analytically to solve problems became second nature to me. As a result, I am an individual with ferocious work ethic, tireless dedication, and someone who thinks critically, systematically, and thus, consequently more solution-based. From a personal standpoint, I can attest that these skills were put to the test a year and a half ago when I became
I love my students, even and especially the mischevious ones, the quiet ones who have loud stories insides of them, the ones who hate reading, and the ones who are starting high school and the ones who are ready to move on. If you really knew me, you would know that: I take pride in being a teacher I believe that my children are my greatest work, even when they don’t seem so great in certain moments
