My figure skating coach used to tell me that he knew every time I was thinking hard about a problem on a skating technique because I would furrow my eyebrows, purse my already non-existent lips together, and stick my tongue out of the corner of my mouth, making a funny face that I was unaware of. Nowadays, the only thing that has changed is the complexity of the problems. The process of thinking analytically to solve problems became second nature to me. I have had experience in such a matter in the past while working as a daycare worker, ultimately leading to my promotion to Lead Teacher, a position that regularly required analytical thought to preventative solutions. While working at the daycare which was also a learning center, I noticed that the teachers were struggling to produce the desired result of providing an education for the children while maintaining proper safety procedures. After careful observation and research of state laws, I took it upon myself to present my boss with a solution that enhanced the educational aspect of the daycare, while ensuring the safety of the children, ultimately leading to restructuring the inner workings of the center and improving communication and focusing on teamwork.
