I am very excited to have the opportunity to apply to a great school such as UWT that will let me strive for what I believe in. I have always been voluntarily engaged with learning. I am a strong believer that it boosts self-confidence, happiness, and that there are so many fascinating things that in turn lead to a better quality of life. I think that one of the greatest skills I have is my ability to pick up knowledge easily no matter the learning style at hand. Simply put, I pursue knowledge because I want to be a better person. I am aware that plans change and new doors open, but as of now, I am an aspiring financial analyst. I whole heartedly love everything about the world of business from money and investing, to suits and ties. There is nothing which I think about more. My passion for the idea of capitalism came at an early age, I was given $1 every two weeks in return for doing chores, and believe me, there was no bargaining. Through this I learned to save, eventually leading me to invest it in things like marketplaces such as craigslist and eBay as a tool for buying products low and selling high. Lately, I have taken an interest in stock market investing. I think it is fascinating to read company’s financial statements and decide whether I want to buy a piece of that company, and then watch my capital grow. However, I have also experienced firsthand that my greatest hardships inside the classroom, consequently, sprout from outside problems. By this I mean, I haven’t always been able to be the student I wish to be because of having to work full time. I don’t have a 4.0 average GPA, I am not always able to go for extra credit, have study groups, or get involved with as many clubs as I originally thought I could. Since, I don’t have the luxury of having my school paid for, I work hard and attend school full time. However, I believe working hard for your education makes you appreciate learning extraordinarily more. I also have taken steps to manage my life which has reflected in the increase in my GPA. Though I don’t have the overall 4.0 GPA that I wish I had, I realize that perhaps, GPA doesn’t always reflect the ambition, intelligence, and responsibility of a person.
