What’s so special about attending UC Berkeley? One reason why students want to attend one of the most prestigious schools in the world is because it is a safe place with lots of diversity. UC Berkeley is one of the most difficult universities to get into within the Bay Area. They are one of the world's most accepting and least discriminating universities. It is a school that provides a safe environment to all students. Nearly 70 percent are U.S. students of color showcasing diversity within the school. There are more than 1,2000 clubs, clubs from sports to religion. Giving students the option to turn to a group of people they relate to and possibly feel safe around. UC Berkeley also has many majors to offer for students. Another reason why students want to attend UC Berkeley is because of the wide range of majors students can take. UC Berkeley’s most popular majors are the science and engineering programs. Having many major options encourages students to take majors that they will enjoy and benefit them in the future. Science majors are the most popular and so very encouraged to take. So if you are interested in taking a science course Berkeley is an amazing University.
