Some of these theories have been developed by very well known psychologists such as Carl Rogers, B.F Skinner, Bandura, and Raymond Cattell. Although, some theories have changed over time there are others we still apply today. Carl Rogers was a humanistic psychologist. He was non directed, client centered, and person centered.
There are three branches of behavior analysis: behaviorism, the experimental analysis of behavior (EAB), and applied behavior analysis (ABA) (Cooper et al., 2020). All three branches are interrelated, and each branch must be understood in order to have a basic understanding of behavior analysis, as a whole (Cooper et al., 2020). The branch of behaviorism refers to the philosophy of the science of behavior (Cooper et al., 2020). The field of experimental analysis of behavior (EAB) focuses on basic science research in behavior analysis, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) focuses on developing methods for improving behaviors of social significance (Cooper et al., 2020). In order to understand and implement ABA effectively, it is important to explore the history of behaviorism and how the philosophical perspectives have shifted over time.
Summary: Chapter 2 Chapter two dives into the concept of learning. As mentioned in the previous chapter, learning is the study of changes in behavior produced by experience, so when studying learning it is vital to examine how events in the environment change an individual’s behavior. Many scientists consider learning to be a natural phenomenon, they make their case based on four assumptions. The first assumption being that natural phenomena’s do not just happen, but instead they are caused as the result of some other event. The second assumption is that causes precede effects.

This kind of learning and experience are beneficial for us to adapt with new environment or surrounding (Surbhi, 2018). The most simple form of learning is conditioning which is divided into two categories which are operant conditioning and classical conditioning.
One of the most interesting subjects that depicts many explanations about human behavior is psychology. Every human being tends to have a distinct behavior, depending on the situation that he or she was exposed to. The presence of other human beings cause the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of the person to be controlled or influenced. There is a considerable amount of factors in which the actions of human beings around them are responsible for the process of making their decisions.
In support of his findings, Skinner eventually realized that human beings could not only respond also manage their environment to induce results. However, Skinner and Watson both repudiated that thinking or emotion plays a significant role in determining behavior. Instead, humans appear to learn many behaviors -including languages- through repetitions and positive or negative reinforcement. Scientifically speaking, behaviorism explains how learning takes place. When it is taken into account in the field of language teaching, it shows how languages are learned.
The topic of this assignment is to discuss and analyse what factors affect human behavior and in doing so how human behavior is shaped. But before discussing that, it is important to understand what human behavior is. To define it in a few sentences or words would not be sufficient as human behavior consists of many factors and therefore contributes majorly to who we are as a person. But to put it simply, it is defined as all actions and emotions that an individual portrays in response to the different kinds of stimuli they receive no matter whether these responses are conscious or subconscious and voluntary or involuntary (Merriam-webster.com, 2015).
