Department or Functional are areas in a business that structure certain aspects of a business into departments that contain a reasonable amount of employees, which organises and handles certain functions/aspects of a business into departments. Moreover, employees in certain departments would handle and cover an aspect of the business. Whereas, each department is specialised for a certain job or task for the business that is referred as ‘functions’, such as Distribution Department that manage deliveries (making sure products are delivered at the right time in the customer’s house/home or specific/preferred place).
