The two businesses which I have chosen for this assignment are under both the Public and the Private Sector. The businesses chosen for this article are the following; Asda (Private) owned by the Public, alongside with NHS (Public). Hence in this article I will be evaluating and describing the business purposes and objectives. Furthermore I will also compare and contrast both businesses in order to find the advantages and disadvantages between both sectors. I will also evaluate the various stakeholders which are interested in both businesses, and how the businesses meet the objectives of various stakeholders. On the other hand Asda has made sure they have reduced the prices of their products to an extent where it is cheaper than their competitors, as they have offered many deals online and instore, this attracts many customers to then shop at Asda than shopping at Tesco or Sainsbury’s. However the UK’s supermarket sector has become more competitive, due to the price drop in various supermarkets, which meant customers would travel and go out their way to shop at a supermarket where they could save money. Which alternatively lead to Asda losing customers, as many supermarkets where competing with each other with the same strategy called ‘price competition’. Customers then would compare various supermarket’s prices before shopping, this made Asda realise they had to deliver quality products whilst selling them at low prices which was keeping the customers happy with the value for their money.Therefore Asda put out a strapline in order to attract customers ‘ASDA Price’ , which put Asda in a better positon than other competitors , but then Tesco copied the strategy by using ‘Tesco Value’ as well as Sainsbury’s using a similar strapline ‘ Sainsbury’s
