All individuals are not born perfect. Every individual has their flaws that has a positive or negative impact to those around them and the society. All individuals have flaws that can or cannot hide from the rest of the world. Scholars of psychology argue that obsessions cause individuals to achieve perfection and can have a positive or negative aspect to an individuals’ life. Perfection is the conditions, state, or quality of being free as possible from all flaws or defects.
Dismissing of Problems Over the past couple of decades, there have been trends of mass casualties, such as lynching and shootings, that have been overlooked or dismissed. This is a result of people focusing on part of a problem rather than the entire problem; thus, leading to the development of ignorance to the truth. Ida B. Wells, an African-American journalist and civil rights leader in the 1890s, led an anti-lynching movement where she released articles criticizing the unjust deaths.
Fatal Flaws Write a Fate to Failure Nobody is perfect. Everybody has their own special flaw whether it be mental, physical, emotional, or part of their personality. However some character flaws can definitely cause more harm than others.
Sometimes those flaws can be their downfall. For many, a major downfall is the inability to let go. In “Helen on Eighty-Sixth Street,” the character's flaw was her inability to let go of her hatred for Helen. In “The Cask of Amontillado,” the character’s flaw was his inability to let go of an insult. In “The Scarlet Ibis,” the character’s flaw was his inability to let go of the idea of a normal brother.”

In an article Menon stated, “We generally tend to judge people just by looking at their outward appearance” (Menon 1). This is true, but why is everyone so quick to judge? Nearly all the population finds it easier to establish groups before getting to know them because they don’t want to take the time to learn about a person. Outer appearance can say nothing of a person’s moral, looks can be deceiving. Menon later stated, “I find it thought provoking how someone could get so attached to another person and trust him or her so wholly after just knowing how he or she looks” (Menon 1).
However I still think it’s an enviable trait. My birthmark started a lot of conversations with people, and constantly talking about my “flaw” engendered the self-confidence I feel today. Although my birthmark has waned, my personality hasn’t. I’m rarely uncomfortable meeting new people, and I bring easygoing relief to those around me, even in situations that can be stressful. I still feel just as lucky as I did when my mom told me an angel had kissed me, for it was that mark I have to thank--the bright red, puffy circle that permeated on my left cheek--for the poise and chutzpah I would have never known otherwise.

Examples derive from culture and treatment of African American people and how others perceive them to be. Looking at Character and The Appearance of a Person In this day and age, we tend to be very judgmental as people. We have a tendency to look at what people wear, how they talk, who they hang out with… ect. When authentically we should be looking into people’s hearts, to find out who they really are.
This is what makes me a very observant person. Everybody has weaknesses, but it is up to us whether we want to keep those weaknesses or overcome it. I mentioned that my weaknesses is overthinking, perfectionist and arrogant. Actually my weaknesses are interconnected with one another.
