To some, the University of Chicago may seem like just another college with the iconic speech about how you can make a club to match your interests, or how great the food is. However, once you go beneath the surface it is impossible to underestimate the educational and intellectual benefits as well as the community and possibilities which stem from UChicago. I first learned about the University of Chicago at the beginning of my junior year when I inquired for a list of suitable schools from my principal. After researching the University of Chicago, it became my first choice, I even have a poster on my bedroom wall! I am currently excelling in AP chemistry online and wish to further my knowledge in the science at the University of Chicago. What interests me about the chemistry program at UChicago is the incorporation of analytical chemistry within the three principle branches as well as the elective freedom for the pursuit of interdisciplinary interests. This freedom will allow me to embody other interests revealed in high school, such as biology, into my field of study and discover their interrelationship.
