I have decided to include the University of Redlands in my college application process because of the multitudinous opportunities offered to its students. I recently went on a campus tour of the University of Redlands with my Senior AVID class, and not only did I enjoy the tour of the gorgeous campus, I learned so much about the programs available there. Another thing that cajoled me to apply to the University of Redlands was the school’s utilization of the 4-4-1 academic calendar. The 4-4-1 academic calendar is a congenial commodity that I was not familiar with until the tour. I was very captivated by the individual possibilities proposed, such as the ability to study abroad and the ability to execute research on an independent assignment. Not only can these opportunities contribute to one’s educational growth, but, they can also contribute to a student’s personal growth. I consider personal enlightenment equally important as educational enlightenment, and the 4-4-1 academic calendar facilitates both. The full tuition guarantee is what fully sold me on the school.
