While I was searching for colleges during my senior year, Arizona State University was the first college that caught my attention. My sister, Ranine is currently a junior at ASU and has loved it ever since she stepped foot on campus. Her love for ASU greatly encouraged me to look further into attending ASU. After going on the campus tour and speaking to students, I officially decided that I wanted to be a Sun Devil. Choosing a major was hard for me because I struggled between wanted to major in psychology, getting on the path to be an orthodontist, or attending W.P Carey School of Business. After many weeks of going back and forth between them and discussing with my family and counselor, I finally came to the conclusion that I wanted to major in business. My father is a successful owner of two businesses and my mother started her own business recently, which definitely inspired me to want to start a business of my own in the future. Choosing W.P. This area of work has always interested me and I would love to pursue it in the future, but if I want to succeed in my career of business I need to improve my social skills. I have been shy for as long as I can remember, which will not get my far in the business industry. Being able to talk in front of people and have casual conversations is a big goal of mine and I plan to achieve this during my studies at Arizona State University by meeting people and even joining clubs. Although I am shy, one of my strengths is being a fast learner. I consider this to be a great strength because once I put my mind to something, I can achieve anything I want to.
