Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) has influenced me in many ways. First, it was the school's amazing nursing program. The school of nursing was established in 1953 and it awards undergraduates the bachelor of science degree. WSSU’s nursing program was ranked number 3 in the nation, and is continuing to grow and enhance the program. I have been given the chance to get into the nursing program, with the help from the Guaranteed Admission Program (GAP).
WHY THE ASU MS ERM PROGRAM: I have been searching for a master’s program that can provide me with an integrated program of courses and a platform to enhance my knowledge for both public policy and water supply law. I believe an MS in the ERM program will provide me with that focus and forum based on my experience as an ASU research staff member, a review of the program’s coursework, and a discussion I had with the program’s Director, Larry Olson. MY PATH TO WATER: My career began as a mechanically oriented design engineer in an industrial research and development capacity. However, my path slowly shifted gears when I took a position at ASU, for the Chemistry Department in the early 1990’s as part of a research group focused on high pressure/high
As an individual, I have always aimed to achieve superior accomplishments. Admission to the Illinois Math and Science Academy (IMSA) is one of such primary goals I hope to attain in my high school years. There will be so many new opportunities that unfold with acceptance to a school of such a high caliber. I will gain positive characteristics, which will allow me to take bigger strides to become more successful in life. Not only will I profit from attending this school, but I will also contribute to and enhance the school with a richness that is special to me.
There are various reasons that I decided to attend Sam Houston State University. Some of the reasons include and are not limited to the Business programs that they offer, reviews from fellow students, faculty, transfer scholarships and then, location. I reside within 10 miles from SHSU, The Woodlands Center, which makes it convenient to attend the institute. I did not have to relocate or make any additional major changes to be able to pursue my business degree. I understand that the institute might not offer all the courses at this location and that I might have to drive to the main campus, in Huntsville.
The last table I visited was Iowa State’s. This is the college I am most familiar with. My sister and almost all of my friends attend ISU and I visit them on campus a lot. I have been to numerous college visits and so I know my way around. When I stopped at this booth, they told me about ISU transfer program which I did not know about.
ASU also has Barretts Honor College (ASU) which would be an amazing opportunity for me to get the same atmosphere of a semi ivy league college and would offer me more challenging academics, plus graduating at an honors college would look much better than just “Mizzou” on my resume. Lastly, we’ll take a look at ASU’s campus culture. When i toured ASU, the campus was not only vibrant, but it was also very obvious that the student body was not only learning knowledge and skills that will allow them to be very successful in life, but they also were having fun.
My job as a patient care technician allowed me to care for numerous individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Through this experience, I came to the realization that I loved people. I loved hearing their stories and the secret hopes and fears they would share with me in the dead of the night. I realized that I wanted to have a career where I could not only help people, but learn from them as well. I believe a career in the healthcare field would allow me to do this.
Nicholas Sora The reason I attend ASU is because I am fueled by visions of a prestigious education, exposure to research and intern opportunities, capped with a chance to excel in a variety of sports and creative outlets. Having lived in Tucson Arizona I have grown use to the heat and have embraced it as part of Arizonian culture. Nothing more epitomizes my dreams more than attending ASU. ASU offers flexibility to nourish my science/engineering background, while supporting my creative mind.
While I was searching for colleges during my senior year, Arizona State University was the first college that caught my attention. My sister, Ranine is currently a junior at ASU and has loved it ever since she stepped foot on campus. Her love for ASU greatly encouraged me to look further into attending ASU. After going on the campus tour and speaking to students, I officially decided that I wanted to be a Sun Devil. Choosing a major was hard for me because I struggled between wanted to major in psychology, getting on the path to be an orthodontist, or attending W.P Carey School of Business.
Illinois State University seems like a great fit for me. I know many students who attend Illinois State University, and they are always telling me about how great the school is and how amazing the campus is. I have done some research on the university and the campus and all of the information I found stood out to me. I found nothing that made me skeptical about the university. It would be an honor to be able to attend Illinois State University.
I believe as a returning student to ISU, I had a unique experience in the class. I graduated with a degree in Child, Adult, and Family Services in May and decided that teaching was my true passion so I returned to Iowa State to begin earning that degree. I have worked for about four years for United Community Schools as a Lead Childcare Associate and as a Substitute Associate in both preschool and special education. Additionally, I have spent time as a Special Education Associate in Ankeny and have volunteered in Ames Community School District Classrooms. With my experience, I have spent a lot of time in schools and in classrooms.
I have always been involved beyond the classroom with the schools I attend. I attended King Kekaulike High School in Maui. My freshman year, I was an active member in Interact club, a local service club. I was also on the junior varsity volleyball team and the girls varsity soccer team. I was the team captain for the girls varsity soccer team at KKHS both my junior and senior year.
After I graduate high school, I am interested in attending Iowa State University. ISU requires four years of english/language arts, three years of math, three years of science, and two years of social studies in high school. For the RAI, students who achieve a 245 or higher are automatically offered admission. I believe this seems very reasonable and is easily achievable. I am interested in going into computer science at Iowa State University, which requires about 120 credits.
I have heard that you may be considering Iowa State University as you’re after high school education. I am so happy that I will be able to go the same school as some of you again joining, the amount I heard from my CA, 34,734 students! How could you not be excited about college? Of course there are many reasons why I decided to attend Iowa State. Even if it’s the learning communities that draw you in, the fact that maybe your parents came here, or maybe even ISU is your favorite sports team.
Learning and Scholarship are critical values to all students, but throughout my time at ISU, I have gained a much deeper appreciation for the idea of being a lifelong learner. The programs for Special Education at ISU are some of the best and have offered me more ways to learn than I originally thought imaginable, and have inspired me to explore my educational possibilities in the future. Through my clinical experiences, coursework, and experiences outside of the classroom, I have gained a deeper appreciation for what it means to work in special education. I have decided that I will get a Masters in School Counseling and work as an academic advisor for special education students. Through this path, I will be able to continue learning more and
