The Sea Treasure company will need to use Kotter’s eight step model for there long term changes. The eight steps are, establish a sense of urgency, form a powerful guiding coalition, develop a vision and strategy, communicate the change vision, empower others to act on the vision, consolidate gains and produce more change, and anchor new approaches in the culture (Kotter’s, 2015). It is important for leaders to express the urgency of the change and to get the employees to understand the urgency of the changes as well. After that step is complete, the leaders will be able to create teams within the company to make the changes happen. They then need to make sure everyone can assist with the new vision of the changes. Leaders will than need to set short term goals for employees to reach and that will lead the company to meeting their long term goal. As these goals are met the company has to be ready to make more changes once everyone is ready for them. Finally, all the changes will need to be adopted by all the employees. The adoption process will involve empowering the employees to be able to embrace the changes with a few challenges (Dean, 2009).
