Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is a private employer of millions of people around the world. They are also a fortune 500 companies globally. Corporate offices are located in Bentonville, Arkansas, but Wal-Mart is a global company with different factions. The factions include Wal-Mart Inc., Wal-Mart U.S., Wal-Mart International, Sam’s Club, and Wal-Mart ecommerce. Each one of these factions has a President and CEO with a multitude of other employees under them. Wal-Mart is at the top of every financial list when it comes to profit. They generate so much revenue globally that they have to embed Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into their business strategy; otherwise, they wouldn’t be able to operate at the level they operate at. Furthermore, if CSR is not a big part of their business strategy it would be interesting to research how Wal-Mart is able to command such a strong presence worldwide without backlash. Creating that many jobs and revenue does not come with some kind of negativity and Wal-Mart has had its fair share of negative press. In 2015 they hit their highest mark and their stock rose to $89.45 per share. Wal-Mart hasn’t always enjoyed high marks when it comes to stock prices, which was proven in November 2015 when their stock hit a low mark of $56.43 per share. In 2012 there was a bribery scandal in Mexico that could have preceded and influenced this low stock price. Wal-Mart stock has proven to be very steady over the last few years and as now they stand at $74.84 per share. As far as revenue Wal-Mart has hovered around the hundred million mark in gross profit.
