Wal-Mart is good because it produces products for consumers to buy at a low price. The low prices help people that can’t afford high price products to be able to buy what they need. Wal-Mart is probably the widest and strongest company in the U.S. business history. They have a great economy and they are the most admired company. Can you believe that Wal-Mart is the first company on the planet to report one quarter of a trillion dollars in sales $256 billion?
Some people believe walmart might be the greatest thing that happened to america and other might think that wal-mart is the worst thing that happened to america. I'm going to be explaining some pros and cons about wal mart and dig really deep into the store of walmart itself. First I'm going to start off with a couple pros on why walmart is good for america. One good reason why is because the economy of wal-mart fits in with low income families that can't afford to buy expensive merchandise.

Walmart is undoubtedly an American institution, yet each Walmart store feels like its own little country. Walmart seems to have its own laws and customs and the people who shop their on a regular basis appear almost primitive in their behavior as they go about raiding the store’s shelves and wrestling with fellow customers for discount flat screen televisions and bulk packages of two-ply toilet paper.
Walmart is one of the largest retailers in the world. It is a company that produces cheap products to sell and operate in over 30 countries in different places of the world. More specifically, it has 380 retail stores in Canada that sell goods and groceries. They are proudly working with Canada to have a direct effect on its people, environment, the community and ethical sourcing. Depending on our point of view, Walmart has it own advantages and disadvantages for Canada.
For the simple reason of growing into the nations largest retailer by supporting low to middle class customers, becoming one of the greatest success stories in U.S history. And in 2005, 5 of every 6 Americans shopped at a Wal-Mart, and nearly 90% of the U.S population lives within 15 miles of A Wal-Mart store. So, if that doesn 't say anything itself, then I 'm not sure what will. Personally, I believe that Wal-Mart is good for our economy.
The million-dollar question is “Is Wal-Mart Good for America?” After doing some research and watching “Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price,” Documentary. The clear answer is NO, Walmart is not good for America, nor any other country in the world. Wal-Mart as a hole is one of if not the largest business on the planted making over 220 billion dollars a year and has a profit of over 7 billion annually. They claim to be for the people, with their “family friendly” ads.
Walmart is not good for America for a number of reasons. One of the biggest reasons is because of how powerful and influential it has become. The amount of influence Walmart has on corporations has become exponential and Walmart has become a force to be reckon with. Due the amount of power Walmart has, and how driven they are to ensure that they are buying the cheapest good quality products, they have driven countless businesses and corporations out of America. As a result, Walmart has driven a lot of jobs out of the nation.

Arguably, because they have created the industry standard in supply chain management, vendor management, IT, and job satisfaction of associates creating the largest company in America. Their vast supply chain management and IT investments have truly separated Wal-Mart from all other competitors in their industry and arguably across all industries. They are the benchmark in which all others measure them in these areas. Although Wal-Mart is exceptional in multiple aspects, we must also think about all the disadvantages within it. There are various little things such as not providing health care for their employees, the abundance of applications that don't get looked at, and employees not being able to establish a union. Now one must look at all the larger problems within Wal-Mart. Firstly, Wal-Mart carries almost everything but their employees do not know much about what they're selling. This is not valuable for someone trying to fix something within their home.
