The Vision and Creation of the Disney Company

Introduction
Picture a world without Disney princesses. Who would little girls idolize growing up? Now imagine if there were no Disney movies, plays, or cartoons. This concept is rather odd considering generations have been growing up with this form of entertainment since the early 1900s. Being a fan of Disney all of my life I have experienced the joy of watching a new Disney movie and have even visited Walt Disney World a few times. Since the Disney company has been around since 1923, many questions come up for me wondering how such a successful franchise was created. The creator of Disney, Walt Disney, was the mastermind behind the company, but what was his original vision? How did Walt Disney’s vision come to life and what was the creation process behind building such a magical and successful franchise?

To take this original idea to the next level Disneyland opened in Anaheim, California in 1955 (“Disney History”). This park was fresh and new in the world of theme parks and inspired many more creators through the years. Walt’s vision for this park was coming true with a castle and many attractions that would change and evolve as time went on, this is still true today. As the success of the park was happening Walt wanted more. The company had purchased land in Orlando, Florida to open another park with even more space. Before the land went under construction, Walt passed away (“Walt Disney World History”). His brother Roy, who he started the franchise with made it his goal to turn this new theme park into something wonderful for Walt, he would also call it Walt Disney
