There are policies in other countries that state young persons must have 2 years military service. I don’t think the U.S should adapt this policy. There are some pros and also some cons that can occur with this policy.

There are many reasons why this policy would not be good for the United States. However, take make my argument stand out more clearer, the most solid reasons will be explained. The first reason is the solid fact that you are sending young children to fight. Children’s minds and bodies are not equipped to fight in a war. They are not strong enough and probably couldn’t handle the stress. The second reason for not wanting this policy is taxes. With more people fighting and being supported at army camps, the more it costs for the government. In a nutshell, this cost is converted into taxes. the third reason is that the thought process of children would be changed. The sight of war can be too much to bear and can affect a child in many negative ways. It could perhaps induce a fear reaction.
