Animal Farm is a short novel that tells the fable of a society of animals that rebel against their human farmer. There is a greater idea behind what happens in the story, relating back to the Russian Revolution and the people that were a part of it. The Matrix is a movie based on a character who is led to fight an underground battle against computers who have constructed his whole reality in a system called the Matrix. The Matrix shares the idea that everyone has the choice to decide what sort of world they want to live in. These two stories share ideas that are both frequent throughout the stories.

Jones was good to begin with; they had a system that they followed, like supplying food and taking shifts, so everyone got the rest that they could. They were following their leader, Snowball; he supplied a system where they had food and water, and they all got along. Eventually, the animals started turning on each other as the responsibilities began to overwhelm them, and Napoleon became their new leader. The Matrix shows that Neo began to be scared and unsure, and eventually he gathered the knowledge and skills due to the computers to be able to save Morpheus when he got tangled up with the agents who captured him. Neo gained the skills to be able to save Morpheus and conduct the mission to do so. This shows that both Animal Farm and The Matrix have good outcomes from changing their lives due to the systems that they were previously in.
