The Civil War, a time of pain and sorrow. Some people thought The Civil War started because Southern plantation owners wanted to keep the slave institution going. Other people think it’s due to economic reasons due to taxation issues. This had been a huge controversy for a while but most people say that it was mostly because 11 southern states wanted to make their own union and keep with the slave ways. The Civil war started in April 12, 1861 when Confederates bombed Fort Sumter. It was a tough battle that lasted for 4 years and ended in May 13, 1864 when Robert E. Lee surrendered.
Many people died during this battle but roughly around 620,000 soldiers died. Now as Nathan Bedford Forrest once said, “War means fighting, and fighting means killing.” …show more content…

They can last for a while but it all depends on who has the better military in the end. At the end of the Civil War more than 3.9 million slaves were released. Even though the Union won, not all slaves got released right away. It was a slow process but by 1860 the majority of them were released. As though they were released not many people treated them as if they were real people. African Americans got weird stares and got quite a few insults. Even today people are still going through racial issues.
When all this destruction was made people decided to save some of the battlefields and make it into a museum.
One of the most famous museums is called the American Civil War Museum and it is located in central Virginia. It shows artifacts of the weapons they used, what type of food they ate, and all the medicines they used. It also shows what life style people had. It shows the Citizens point of view and it also shows the political point of view.
As all wars come to an end there must be some kind of solution. People at the end of the war starting evolving into new technology and started rebuilding the towns they were in. They all started to learn and grow as a community. Now with our new political leader, people are
