To me freedom means being able to wake up and feel safe. Freedom is being able to speak or act and not feel restricted. I am grateful for the freedom I have but I am also a little concerned. To me freedom is something you should honor and cherish. I do realize that what freedom means to me and what freedom can mean to someone else can be very different.
What does the American Flag mean to me? For many people, the American Flag means something to them. For veterans, the flag shows that their hard work at war has paid off and that the American Flag can proudly be displayed. For citizens, the flag to them is their symbol of freedom, pride and their commitment to their country.
Pride, commitment, and colors are what make a flag. Flags represent all the different countries in the world, and all of them represent something differently. The United States flag consists of three different and carefully combined colors. The American flag stands for liberty and justice for all. It inspires everyone, those who live in America, and those who don't.
According to dictionary.com, freedom means “political or national independents”, but in reality it means much more than that. During the revolutionary war, four thousand four hundred and thirty-five lives were lost in order to gain independence and freedom for all Americans. I believe that freedom means that people can express themselves however they want and that they can make decisions for themselves. I think that this is true because people can choose their religion, have the freedom of speech, and can stand up for what they believe is right. Freedom of religion was part of the First Amendment to the Declaration of Independence, which means that people are able to choose their religion and can freely worship.
As I recited the pledge of allegiance every day in school, I never really took into consideration what the United States stands for to me. I never acknowledged how much the flag means to our country. The United States flag is a symbol of freedom to all who live here. It shows how we are free to do what we please.
The blue represents justice, and the stars represent reaching for the stars, and attempting to achieve greatness. The 13 stripes on the flag represent the original 13 colonies that were a part of the American Revolution and the creators of the country. Because the flag represents so much, there are many rules and procedures that must be
Freedom is the ability to love whomever we want, It is when you give without expecting a favor, It is the power to forgive when you've been mistaken, it is the capability to do right without being proud of it. To me Freedom is America, Freedom is the 13 horizontal stripes and the 50 stars waving in the wind, and finally Freedom is for everyone to be equal, yet different in his or her own way. Freedom to me is America, as simple as that. On July 4th, 1776 America gained freedom from Great Britain, for this is one of the most important dates in American history.
The American Flag means many things to me. “The 50 stars on the flag represent the 50 states, and the 13 stripes represent the thirteen British colonies that declared independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain, and became the first states in the Union.” The colors of the vertical stripes; White signifies innocence, Red, hardiness, and Blue, signifies justice. EVery time i hear “American flag” It reminds me of the Pledge of Allegiance. It represents freedom, pride, and justice.
Ever wondered why freedom is so important to America? Why we need freedom and why some people take advantage of it? Or why we have rules with the freedom we have? Freedom to me isn’t just a word, it’s a way of life that everybody uses, sure, all people are unique but freedom is the one thing that makes us all the same, as equals and individuals.
Freedom is enjoy your civil liberty. It 's being personally free, and being able to move or act without outside interference. It gives you the right to enjoy privileges of citizenship. It gives you the liberty of your personal thoughts, or choices. It lets you be who you want to be.
Freedom is the ability to do whatever one wants without restraint. Many people in our country take freedom for granted, while many suffer from the lack of freedom in other countries. Freedom is when you choose all of your actions, which is what was meant for everyone. Making choices of your own is how you learn and grow. When you are in a position without freedom, somebody withholds it.
It represents the United States and everyone in it. It represents the people who gave their lives to protect it, and represents that all Americans are free because of those people. People have tried to protect the flag but it is legal to burn the flag because of the first amendment and it has been since Texas V.S Johnson case in 1989. Even if it is wrong to disobey the amendments it shouldn’t be used to get the attention of others to prove a point. People say that they can do this just because it a piece of fabric and they would do the same with any other piece if needed.
Freedom is much more than a definition. When I go to a dictionary and look at the definition for freedom, it tells me “The state of being free or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint.” For me, freedom is much more than this. Freedom is a sacrifice, along with a fight.
Never in my life have I been asked this question but after reading the first week’s lectures, it is becoming clear to me. Liberty means I am not a slave, I am free. Liberty means I can make my own decisions, express my points of view, beliefs and opinion. My definition of slavery is simply put as: personal property or belonging to someone else. Liberty means I am not a slave of the government
Freedom means the power or right to act, speak, or think without restraint, and the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved. Freedom is the correction to do what he/she wants, live life, and eat what he/she wants. How do we live free? We live free by not judging other people’s freedom rights. Everyone has their own rights.
