Have you ever wondered why World War 2 started, and why it ended? Have you

ever wondered what was used in World War 2? In this paper I will discuss: the events

leading up to World War 2 and why it ended, the types of weapons/gear used in World

War 2, the types of vehicles and planes used in World War 2, some of the more notable

battles in World War 2, as well as some of the effects of World War 2.

The Battle of Stalingrad started on July 17th, 1942 and ended on February 2nd, 1943,

and was the successful Soviet defense of the city Stalingrad, and was one of the

bloodiest battles in history with combined military and civilian casualties of nearly 2

million. The Bombing of Pearl Harbor was on December 7th, 1941 when hundreds of

Japanese fighter planes attacked the U.S naval base at Pearl Harbor near Honolulu,

Hawaii, and immediately after the attack the United States declared war on Japan, and

in return Germany and Italy declared war on the United States.

World War 2 resulted in the creation of some of the things that we use today due to the

race to acquire better equipment than the opposing faction(s). Some of the things made

because of World War 2 are: the atomic bomb, the jet, and the ballistic missile. World

War 2 is the reason that the atomic bomb was created because the United States were
