In this case study, it explains the life of a man from the late 1800s to early 1900’s. This man was under the category as a serial killer but that was not his only title. He was known as a sex pervert, including cannibalism, coprophilia, urophilia, pedophilia and masochism. This man has 3 known victims, under the age of 10. He did suffer from a version of schizophrenia. This case study will explain the 6 theoretical models of abnormal psychology and how each psychologist would explain his problems. This man did not have an easy life. His father died while he was young, which then his mother put him in an orphanage where he was teased, beaten and whipped. Being in that kind of environment had caused him to develop satisfaction from being abused. He would later claim that god told him to kill these innocent children. His father died when he was young, which left him with no father figure to follow. Being put in the orphanage and being beat, resulting in him discovering that he likes the pain, caused him to seek other ways to inflict pain on himself and on others. Cognitive theorists would say that this man took the experience from the orphanage and used that to create a homosexual relationship at the age of 12, where he then learned what his preferences were. Being in that relationship introduced him to coprophilia and urophilia. He took an interested into castration, which he then performed these acts on 2 of his partners.
