This decision also comes back to haunt the characters later when Juliet and Paris are arranged to be married, but Juliet has already wed Romeo (III, iv), due to Friar Lawrence.
He had given Juliet, who was begging for help, a small vial containing the liquid that would fake Juliet’s death. When the time had come, he depended too much on Friar John, and Romeo received the wrong news. Romeo had thought that Juliet was dead and went back to Verona with a bottle of poison to kill himself. Quickly, Friar Lawrence ran to stop him, only to find Romeo dead and Juliet waking up.
Friar Lawrence, instead of giving Juliet a potion that made everyone think she was dead, could have hid her in his cell until he could find a way to get her to Romeo. But he gave her that potion and it made Romeo think that his wife was dead. So, he killed himself. After Juliet
In the morning, the nurse discovers her and pronounces her dead. Of all the things the Friar has done so far, giving Juliet the poison is the worst of his actions. As the Friar’s plan goes, Romeo did not receive the letter from the servant describing the situation of how Juliet is not dead, only sleeping. That makes Juliet concerned because she likes Romeo. First, he tells Juliet to marry Paris which she doesn’t want to happen. This is found in Act 3 scene 5. Second, Lord Capulet rages at Juliet when he notices that she doesn’t want to marry Paris. He then tells Juliet that he will never see her again.
As a result, she consults the Friar. He has a potion that will make her appear dead. The plan is for Juliet to take the potion and be put by the other dead bodies. A letter will be sent to Romeo and he will find her there. Juliet takes the potion putting all her trust in the Friar.
After he heard this he bought some poison from a poor pharmacist and killed himself in Juliet’s grave tomb. When Juliet woke up and found Romeo dead, she took his dagger and killed herself. This happened in act 1-2.
The most defiant choice that Romeo and Juliet take for their love is their choice to be married. Juliet knows that her father or anyone in her family would not approve of this choice, but she still does it cause she loves Romeo. This love struck mentality drives Romeo and Juliet to be married and this secret marriage causes turmoil when Lord Capulet demands Juliet to marry Paris. Although Juliet knows that she is already married to Romeo loyal to him, not Paris and refuses to marry “doth Paris” (Shakespeare. III.v.145).
“Romeo is banned from Verona, which leads to him to seek out some pretty bad advice and guidance from Friar Laurence.” (Shmoop.com). The news Romeo receives is that Juliet is dead and in the Capulet's tomb Romeo does not know abou the fact he is supposed to be at Juliet's side when she wakes. Romeo is not aware of Juliet and Friar Lawrence's plan with the potion so in turn he takes his own life thinking Juliet is really dead. When Juliet wakes she finds Romeo dead next to her, she takes Romeo's dagger and stabbed it into her chest killing herself.
Then Romeo is sad that Juliet is sad. He drinks the poison and dies. A boy and some watchmen see the blood of Paris and go get other people for help. Juliet wakes up from the potion that “friar sparkles” gave her. And she sees that Romeo is dead along with Paris.

For our summative, Tori, Michelle and I created a dance showing the connections between Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare and Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell. The two books share four main themes; love, courage, difference and abuse. Personally, I think dance is the best way to tell a story. By telling a story through movement there are so many more ways to express emotion and tell the story from a different perspective. My group members and I started the choreography finding multiple connections between the two books, such as: fights between main characters, secret relationships and fate, and started to think of movement phrases to go with these connections.
Love, at first sight, can be tough, especially for young lovers with little experience, however the pressure (to be together) can get too strong shattering the relationship into tiny pieces. Residents of the city Verona, Italy were left in shock when two young, distressed teens were found deceased in an ancient church. Romeo Montague-18 and Juliet-14 were found dead pressed up against each other’s bodies surrounded by hundreds of lit candles. The locals have said that Juliet had been showing subtle signs of depression ever since her parents had disapproved of her relationship with Romeo. We spoke to Juliet's Nurse ( which claims her and Juliet were as close as mother and daughter) .
The ones to blame for the death of Juliet and her Romeo The tragic deaths of the two star-crossed lovers was brought forth by others than just themselves. Romeo and Juliet were madly in love even for the short time they were alive and in the presence of one another. Their fate was a tragic one ,but this tragedy was caused by more than the two lovers.
