1. a. What search terms did you use to locate this research study to analyze? I used the UNF EdTech library database and looked up the key words “Teacher Retention,” “The Role Administration Plays in Teacher Retention.”

c. What was your rationale for selecting this particular study to analyze over the others identified in the search results? What procedures were used? The data was analyzed on a Likert scale of 1-5 with 5 absolutely disagree and 1 absolutely agree. The categories surveyed were teachers’ trust of administration, teachers’ trust of faculty members, and teachers’ positive social interaction at school.
7 What conclusions were reached? There was a positive correlation between teacher job satisfaction and positive social interaction at school. There was a negative correlation with teachers’ years of experience and job satisfaction. There was also a positive correlation between a positive supportive administration and job satisfaction as well.
8 What might be the implications for practice from the conclusions of the study? More will have to be done with teacher job satisfaction and support of administration and positive social interaction. These issues need to be brought to the forefront until people truly understand why it’s so hard for schools to retain teachers.
9 What ethical issues were addressed? How were they addressed? This was an anonymous survey, but it was collected by a certain school staff member. While they were sealed, someone could have opened them and read them and then resealed them. I don’t feel like it was completely anonymous. Also, they can see the actual teachers who participated in the
