Coal. It’s what kept our ancestors alive for many years. But where does it come from? How do we get it? What are the pros and cons of finding and using coal? Will we ever run out of coal? Let's discuss that.

So, When was coal first discovered? Well, the first recorded discovery was in france 1679, But that was only the discovery. Over a few hundreds of years we learned that it could be used to create heat, and light. We then discovered its uses in certain supplies, like plastic, chalk, paint, and pens. Now we're using it as an energy source.
We also found new ways to both find, and mine coal. We used to look for old marshes and swamps because the earth could have buried old trees and dead animals. We then would dig a hole, looking for the coal. Now we use echo location and other technology to find coal deposits. We then use a number of machines to mine the coal, Such as a longwall, drag lines, and graders. These are only a few of the many tool used to mine coal. Afterwords It's goes through processing. Its crushed from around a meter of coal to less than 75 millimeters.
