I have also learned the role of human services professionals and the important impact they have on an individual’s life. I found courses such as Principles of Human Services helpful
The Smarter Measure Guide assignment has shown that I am above the national average in most of the categories for example technical knowledge and overall technical competency. In the learning style section I was categorized as a physical learner; this means that I like to be actively involved by using my hands, body, and sense of touch. By taking this survey has allowed me to see where I have strengths for this course as well as other college courses I will be taking in the future. The resources provided for areas that i may have trouble with allow me to better myself with helping me improve in these areas. Overall I have a better view of how i learn and a clearer understanding of where my strengths and weaknesses
Furthermore, the answer to the second essential question is the American Medical Association. To be honest, I believe I have learned every concept very efficiently, for example, from the benefits of physical activity to the importance of nutrition labels and food safety. With physical activity, your muscles and bones are strengthened, therefore, improving your mental/emotional health by providing stress relief. Once these aspects are enhanced, your social health will improve, helping you make new friends, and giving you the confidence when meeting new
One of the most important actions that a student can take, is to be honest, and self-reflective, about the level of understanding achieved after completing any course within his/her education career. From my personal view, I feel that this class provided me with a great introduction to the MHA program, and is setting me up for successful in this educational program; but with that being said I would not pretend that I was able to assimilate every concept that was presented in this course, I would definitely need to continue to review the material in this course and on the MHA program overall, so that I could be a knowledgeable, and effective Health Care Manager. When it comes to my ability to discuss the different learning outcomes, I have to say that I definitely acquired a much deeper understanding of the material presented in this course. The materials were not difficult concepts to understand, but sometimes the way the material was delivered made it a difficult task just to read through the information, but as I would imagine, we are trying to achieve an education at a much higher level, which requires the processing and understanding of much more complex information, that sometimes will be

Three of the six major objectives for Healthy People 2010 goal number 8, are outdoor air quality, water quality, and toxics and waste. However, some steps that can be taken in my community to accomplish outdoor air quality are decreasing the use of smoking, stop burning leaves or trash, and reduce, reuse, and recycle waste materials. Another objective is water quality and some steps that can be taken to keep the water quality safe is to save water by turning off the tap when running water is not necessary. Besides, this helps prevent water shortages and reduces the amount of contaminated water that needs treatment. Lastly, toxics and wastes are other major objectives for environmental health in Health People 2010, some steps to eliminate toxics
We are by this time at the midpoint of spring 2016 and I personally have learned a lot of useful information from this class in this period. We have gone through several social and behavioral theories in health and discussed their impacts on both individual and community levels. It is indeed fascinating that how behavior is affected by multiple levels of influences and vice-versa. We have also learned about medication adherence and now understand the depth of nonadherence problem in the society.
The wellness of a human being has been broken down into five sections. These sections are: emotional wellness, intellectual wellness, physical wellness, social wellness and spiritual wellness. I think my strongest section for my personal wellness is my emotion, intellect and physical wellness. However, my weakest sections are social wellness and spiritual wellness. I believe that my emotional wellness is my strongest section.
I strongly value my health and believe that health is our greatest form of wealth. When one lives a healthy lifestyle, it means more opportunities to explore the world, build families, achieving anything the heart desires and conquering personal goals. The behavior change philosophy fits my personal philosophy of health education the most because it involves goal setting, behavioral contracts and self-monitoring to help foster the modification of an unhealthy habit. The behavior change philosophy is very important because change is a process, not an event. Self-efficacy and motivation are key factors in successful behavior changes.
