The stories of King Arthur and his knights have had a major influence on society through the ages. The stories provide examples of how to treat fellow humans, especially the ladies, as well as how to conduct conversations with other men. However, these stories are just a drop in the bucket compared to how the Bible has influenced society. The Bible has been used for everything from a weapon to a quick cash grab, but its not all bad. The Bible contains a multitude of basic human rights that were designed to keep the playing field level.
b) Pentecost through the conversion of Cornelius the Centurion In the second section of Acts, the message of the gospel spreads beyond Jerusalem and reaches the Gentile population, including Cornelius the Centurion. This challenges the traditional boundaries of Judaism and demonstrates the extent of God's love and salvation. c) Paul's ministry around the Roman Empire In the third section, Paul embarks on multiple missionary journeys, facing opposition and persecution as he spreads the message of the gospel throughout the Roman Empire.
The book of ACTS was important back in the time after Jesus' death, up to the present day. The foundation of Christianity is what we believe from the effect of Jesus giving up His life for our sins. Luke wrote ACTS to make sure the Christian doctrine was followed the right way. There are 3 basic insights that came to my mind when studying ACTS. The first main insight to me was the Ascension of Jesus Christ, Acts 1:9-11 (pg 197, 198).
I have read chapter 3, and 4 of the book of Acts as one of the powerful chapter in the bible where Peter and John shown the strengths of God power to us. Peter and John are taking a stroll through the temple in Jerusalem when they see a man who can 't walk for forty years of age. The poor guy was begging for money at beautiful gates as it’s known to the bible reader today. Peter did not have money to give him to fulfill his need, but told the man to look at him and the beggar did that as he was told. Peter told him he doesn 't have any money for him, Instead he does bring some pretty cool miracles in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
The book of Acts is one of my favorites in the New Testament! Though it is not known exactly when it was written, Luke "probably [wrote it] no later than the early 60's” (195). This book has had either the full attention or complete denial of the Church for centuries. I believe that Luke's primary purpose for writing this book was to teach the Church of the New Covenant how to use and to be led by the Holy Spirit. Without it, the Church today would not have a clear vision of what our ministry is intended to look like, nor would we have as much understanding of the value and power of walking with and in, and being filled with and baptized in, the Holy Spirit.

The purpose of Luke writing the book of Acts was to show how the power of the Holy Spirit looks like in the christian church. It shows a clear model for us believers of what we should do as far as church and ministry goes. Most likely written between 60 and 100 AD, Acts maps out perfectly the christian church and the type of transformation it can make on peoples lives. All we have to do to see the same radical transformation that we should see today is read the story of Saul/Paul. Saul was a murderer who also was a very religious man.
The Acts of the Apostles is the second part of Luke. The Greek word for Acts is praxis, which means practice or deeds. “Church writers in a later period titled this portion of this account, thus comparing it to the Hellenistic writings of the same name describing the accomplishments of famous men.” There is a prologue in the beginning of Acts similar to Luke, which is very deliberate. He addresses the reader, Theophilus and assures him that this is a trustworthy account.
Early Christianity truly originated from the Jewish religion, the New Testament was the start of the heavy following of Christianly.
