For Romeo and Juliet, love at first sight was true, but had an unfortunate ending. In the play Romeo and Juliet, there are two feuding families, the Montagues and the Capulets, and the children of the head of both families met at a party and fell in love. This sets off the unfortunate love story of Romeo and Juliet which ends in both of their deaths. Even though Romeo and Juliet committed suicide, their untimely deaths were caused by Friar Lawrence and the Nurse. Some people may believe that fate and character flaws were ultimately at fault for the deaths of the young lovers. For example, Romeo and Juliet only met at the party by fate; the two families rivalry could be another reason many believe this. However, this claim is invalid because even though they met, they chose to continue talking, netting up, and eventually get married. When Juliet wanted to get married, the Nurse told her to get permission to go to confession at Friar Lawrence’s cell while she was truly having a secret wedding. Romeo told her his plan and she happily returned to inform Juliet. This plan included getting married and sneaking Romeo in and out of the Capulets’ home.
