Who is responsible for the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet? Is it the prince or is it the feud between the families? Could it be Romeo and Juliet themselves? The prince, Romeo and Juliet, and the families are all partly responsible for the tragedy of Romeo and juliet.

The Prince is responsible for the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. The Prince wasn’t able to prevent the tragedy but he tried to. However, the prince didn’t try so hard to prevent it. He could have made the new rules earlier so he might have stop the feud before Romeo and Juliet saw each other for the first time. If the Prince wasn’t able to do that, He can’t just banish a teenager that is not even eighteen years old yet. If Romeo wasn’t banished the plan would have worked and Romeo and Juliet wouldn’t have died. Each family hates the other but the families don’t even know why they hate each other. They are just continuing the feud that caused many deaths for no reason including Romeo and Juliet’s. Because of the feud, Tybalt killed Mercutio which filled Romeo with rage and killed Tybalt. Therefore, Romeo was banished from the city of Verona. Romeo and Juliet couldn’t be together because of the feud, therefore they can’t marry each other. However, Romeo and Juliet married each other before he got banished and Friar Laurence helped them. Therefore, when Romeo was banished, Friar Laurence plotted a plan for Juliet to escape with Romeo Because they can’t be with each other when he was banished. However, the plan didn’t work and Romeo and Juliet ended up killing
