Apprehending the impact that the American diet places on health, the “Dietary Guidelines for Americans" serves as a guideline to help Americans rid of their old habits, reaching towards a healthy diet and weight.
As if desperately trying to escape the confines of my sternum, my heart palpitated while I awaited my final question. Suddenly, I recognize a familiar sound, my name, muffled by rushing blood pulsating in my ears. A silence enveloped the room as I inched across the stage, each click of my heels amplified as loud as an elephant. It was time. The announcer indifferently selected a question card and nonchalantly asked, “What do you contribute to this pageant?”

This trait is self-conscious, shy, and weak in critical thinking skills, analytic ability and conceptual understanding. According to Zhang (2003), extroverts select pragmatic learning concepts and dodge critical thinking. Hence, high neuroticism students may obtain low scores in social, cognitive and teaching presences. They tend to shy away from group discussion, and student-centred approach may be a problem with them as they prefer highly structured learning environment to avoid anxiety caused by time pressure. Personality is defined by thoughts, behaviours and feelings; a five factor model was created which underlines the personality types, they consist of openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism (Lundberg, 2013). Agreeableness is an individual’s behaviour whereby they contain characteristics such as being, generous, thoughtful, trusting, they are also very loving (Schmitt, Allik, McCrae & Benet-Martínez, 2007). Conscientiousness is where a person is hardworking, careful and they stick to the rules (Roberts, Lejuez, Krueger, Richards & Hill, 2014). Neuroticism is defined as an anxious personality, with a lot of emotional reactivity (Byrom & Murphy, 2013).
Each characteristic is truly associated with just about every job. Some characteristics do pertain to me more than others. I am not big on making friendships within my job, but if I do, I consider that just the bonus. I am there for my job and to give the best care I can to the children I take care of. I do know that each individual has a different need and want with their job and that is nothing to be ashamed of.
