People Being Forced into Having Health Insurance “In the United States of America, health care is not a privilege for the fortunate few -- it is a right. And I knew that if we didn’t do something about our unfair and inefficient health care system, it would keep driving up our deficits, it would keep burdening our businesses, it would keep hurting our families, and it would keep holding back economic growth.” (Obama, 2013). Health insurance has been implemented into thousands of families, but what changes has it really made other than everyone having health insurance and bringing more money into insurances’ pockets? People shouldn’t be forced into having health insurance for whatever reasons. There are many reasons why a person or a family can’t be forced into getting health insurance; First of all, not everyone has the ability to afford the prices that many health insurance provides. Having a low income job reduces the chances of someone purchasing health insurance as well as being able to afford for any health insurance for them and their families. A lot of people work in place where they only provide part time jobs or full time but with a low pay. Many people don’t have either jobs or may have been laid off from a company. Also, people that are working in companies where they don’t provide health insurance making it more difficult for the person to get their own health insurance. People might even work in a company where they don’t pay enough in order for the person to afford any health insurance.
