The concept of evolution has been a back and forth conversation and will probably be for as long as we know it. I personally support the concept of evolution. I believe that it is what has made everything to be the way that it is now. One example that is often used to show evolution are the finches in the Galapagos. This is a biogeographical example because the finches are different depending on which island or location they were on.
Over the eras, many scientists have expressed concerns with Darwin's evolution theory and in "Was Darwin Wrong?" by David Quammen one can learn about the proof behind the theory of evolution. Many people do not believe in evolution due to an overall unawareness about the theory and religious upbringing. However, Quammen clarifies the truth behind evolution in his article. The article states five positions of evidence biogeography, embryology, morphology, paleontology, and the bacterial resistance to antibiotics discovered in humans.

The theory of evolution first came to be during the 19th century by a man called Darwin. Darwin also published a book related on the theory of evolution called “On the Origin of Species”. At first this theory was mocked, this was because during the 19th century majority of the people in Europe especially England were practicing Christians and they despised the theory because it questioned the power of god and if he created all life on earth or not. However as time progressed this theory started to become more widely accepted as science had improved over the years and scientists could find links between humans and our ancestors that we may have originated from. Obstacles for the theory were hat during the 19th century science was not as advance as it is in the present day and also they didn’t have the technology to prove that humans had links to ancestors before.
Darwin’s theory of evolution belong in Biology classrooms because the idea was created using a series of experiments and research. Because Evolution includes many scientific methods it belongs in classrooms. Darwin’s theory also has many years of research to back it up. All reasons that Creationists use to back up Creationism are contradicting such as the idea that God made the earth appear to be much older than it actually is while Evolution has Scientific evidence and facts to say why the earth is the age it is. Evolution is explained through the process of natural selection, broken down step by step but Creationism simply states that man was made from dust and women were made from Adam’s rib.
This argues that different species adapt to their environment through mutations and this can also explain how a species can gradually evolve. An organism does not evolve in its lifetime, because species evolve as whole through variations. Whether the variation is in color, structure, or a physical trait, they allow us to tell a species apart from others. An example of this can be seen through any species, but Charles Darwin took close interest in observing mockingbirds when he was visiting the Galapagos Islands. The mockingbirds had subtle differences or variations in their color.
What did Darwin’s contemporaries think about his theory? Charles Darwin was the first to discover this theory. This theory(evolution) caused a lot of controversy among his contemporaries and his ideas were only gradually accepted. Not everyone accepted the theory as it conflicted with the people’s religious views that God made all the animals and plants on earth. He also didn’t have enough evidence
Charles Darwin was a creationist .He thought God had created all species as then known, and which was distributed by the Land of the most convenient for them. I think some people feel unsafe. They see the religion like a fanaticism.

The few basics of Darwinism are Variation, which means traits and features in individuals of species are slightly varied, second is inheritance, traits and features of individuals will be passed on their offspring, third competition, Species within species will fight for survival and reproduction and finally, Natural Selection, which states individuals born with traits and features have an advantage over the ones below them in terms of reproduction and survival also mostly likely passing it on to their offspring.
