Life is full of choices. The choice to succumb to your circumstance or surpass the expectations of society. The overall decision to go to college was made on the vision of a life greater than what was provided to me by my parents. The cliché of the American Dream is only achievable with hard work and perseverance. I believe that those are the attributes of success and the foundation of why I value education.
Did you know that people who go to college are better off than people who didn’t? People should go to college if they have a purpose for going because college education is worth it. If you go to college for no reason and your just going just to go, then you don’t have a purpose. People who don’t go to college necessarily end up bad, but it is a proven fact that people who go to college are better off than people who do go. College is worth it because it increases the chances of you getting a better job than if you don’t go to college.
I knew college would lead me to be more knowledgeable about this world and show me opportunities that I never seen before. What motivate me to go to college was my family. My parents’ has never gone to college, so I’m the first in my family to go to college. I want to be someone unique in my family. I want to be financially able to take care myself and my future children.

I attended an extraordinary high school in Italy but I wanted to continue my education here in Miami. I am attending college because I will get an excellent job and most like it make more money when I graduate, I will build more knowledge and skills and finally I will have the college experience and make more friends.

One day I hope to become an elementary school teacher for the little 1st graders. I am going to go for my Masters Degree and once I do that I will be able to start my teaching career and reform of the schools. To start off I will stick strictly to teaching, this means giving my students the best education they can get. I will make sure to help each student and make sure they understand what I am trying to teach them, even if that means changing up my teaching style to fit the students needs. After all of that is set in stone I will begin to gradually start the reformation of the school systems.
Growing up there is one question asked so many times you lose count before you reach double digits, that question is “What would you like to be when you grow up?”. Personally it was the experiences I gained over time that eventually lead me into education. Like many others I had dreams of becoming a lawyer, doctor, nurse and even the next big movie star but teachers were my biggest inspiration and it eventually became my goal to be just like them. I encountered some great educators over the years and most I didn’t truly appreciate until my high school years. Teachers do so much to inspire students that it became clear to me before my sophomore year of high school this was a career path I wanted.
