Cornell’s College of Arts and Sciences, offers countless intellectually exciting opportunities. I genuinely believe that Cornell places great importance in seeing all of their graduates succeed and best prepares them to make the changes each student desires to see in the world. The college is a wonderful place of higher learning that encourages academic freedom while finding your passions. I am interested in studying Anthropology, Archaeology, and Biology and Society. I have always found Anthropology and Archaeology intriguing. Over the past two summers, I spent countless hours within various archives. Examining old materials ranging from metals, writings, and clothing. It is truly incredible to see how humans and times have changed. If, I wasn’t in the archives; I was out wandering the streets in search of unquie bookstores and searching for old books to add to my collection. I have always had a sense of respect for history and I see great importance in preserving and examining it. I haven’t had a lot of exposure to Archaeology yet, however I have always had a fascination with it. I find it amazing the footprint humans leave, without even being fully aware of it. Archaeology allows us to trace human’s activity throughout history by uncovering varying materials. The potential discoveries are endless. I was also attracted to the Biology and Society field of study. This is a field that I have always found interesting and I have hoped to explore. However, I have found that this field is not offered at many
